Descripción:
BOC-D-alanina, también conocido como tert-butoilcarbonilo-D-alanina, es un derivado del aminoácido D-alanina, caracterizado por la presencia de un grupo protector tert-butoilcarbonilo (BOC). Este compuesto se utiliza comúnmente en la síntesis de péptidos como un grupo protector para el grupo amino, lo que ayuda a prevenir reacciones no deseadas durante el proceso de síntesis. BOC-D-alanina es típicamente un sólido cristalino blanco a blanco sucio, y es soluble en disolventes orgánicos como el diclorometano y el dimetilformamida, pero menos soluble en agua. El grupo BOC se puede eliminar fácilmente en condiciones ácidas, permitiendo la regeneración del grupo amino libre.     <p>Boc-D-alanine is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist that is used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Boc-D-alanine is an acid conjugate of D-alanine, which has been shown to increase the activity of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. This drug has been found in urine samples and may be useful as a diagnostic tool for detecting Parkinson's disease. The conformational properties of Boc-D-alanine have been investigated through molecular modeling and X-ray crystallography.
