Descripción:
El fluoruro de litio (LiF) es un compuesto inorgánico caracterizado por su enlace iónico entre iones de litio (Li⁺) y iones de fluoruro (F⁻). Es un sólido cristalino blanco que exhibe altos puntos de fusión y ebullición, indicativos de sus fuertes interacciones iónicas. El LiF es altamente soluble en agua y tiene una solubilidad relativamente baja en disolventes orgánicos. Una de sus propiedades notables es su capacidad para transmitir luz ultravioleta, lo que lo hace útil en aplicaciones ópticas. Además, el fluoruro de litio tiene una alta resistencia dieléctrica, lo que lo hace valioso en aislamiento eléctrico.
