CAS:Diclofenac diethylamine is a biocompatible polymer that is used to deliver the drug diclofenac. It has been shown to have optimum concentrations of diclofenac in the eye and transdermally, but not in the bowel. Diclofenac diethylamine also has anti-inflammatory activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. The drug is an antimicrobial agent that is active against bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Enterobacter aerogenes.
