Descripción:
Loratadina es un antihistamínico de segunda generación comúnmente utilizado para aliviar los síntomas de alergia como la nariz moquienta, los estornudos y los ojos irritados. Se caracteriza por su antagonismo selectivo de los receptores H1 periféricos, lo que ayuda a minimizar los efectos secundarios comunes asociados con los antihistamínicos de primera generación, como la sedación. Loratadina es un polvo cristalino blanco a casi blanco que es prácticamente insoluble en agua pero soluble en disolventes orgánicos como el etanol y el metanol. Su fórmula química es C22H23ClN2O2, y tiene un peso molecular de aproximadamente 382.88 g/mol. Loratadina se administra a menudo por vía oral y tiene una larga duración de acción, lo que permite una dosificación una vez al día.
