Descripción:
Afatinib es un inhibidor de la tirosina quinasa de moléculas pequeñas utilizado principalmente en el tratamiento del cáncer de pulmón de células no pequeñas (CPCNP) que presenta mutaciones específicas en el gen del receptor del factor de crecimiento epidérmico (EGFR). Se caracteriza por su capacidad para unirse de forma irreversible al EGFR y a otros miembros de la familia de receptores ErbB, inhibiendo así sus vías de señalización que promueven la proliferación y supervivencia celular.
