The regulatory domain of Ga11 is not active at the same time as its enzyme activities, leading to asymmetric synthesis and reduced production rates. This strain can be used for the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases, as well as for the production of chiral compounds such as pharmaceuticals and monoclonal antibodies.
