Sulfato de dextrano sódico es un polisacárido sulfato derivado del dextrano, un glucano ramificado complejo. Se caracteriza por su alto peso molecular y se utiliza típicamente como anticoagulante y en diversas aplicaciones biomédicas. La sustancia aparece como un polvo blanco a blanco sucio y es soluble en agua, formando una solución viscosa.
