Descripción:
Sarafloxacina es un antibiótico fluoroquinolona sintético que se utiliza principalmente en medicina veterinaria, particularmente para tratar infecciones bacterianas en ganado y aves de corral. Exhibe una actividad antibacteriana de amplio espectro contra bacterias tanto Gram-positivas como Gram-negativas al inhibir la girasa del ADN bacteriano y la topoisomerasa IV, enzimas críticas para la replicación y transcripción del ADN.     CAS:
    Sarafloxacin is an antimicrobial agent that belongs to the quinolone class. It has a chemical stability that allows for use in an injection solution, which may be useful for treating infectious diseases. Sarafloxacin has been shown to be active against human pathogens such as Haemophilus influenzae and Neisseria meningitides. This drug also shows activity against other human pathogens such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, Chlamydia pneumoniae, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Sarafloxacin inhibits bacterial growth by acting on DNA gyrase, a type II topoisomerase, and RNA polymerase.
