<p>Plasminogen is a protein that plays a crucial role in the blood clotting process. It is produced by the liver and circulates in the blood. Plasminogen is inactive in its native form, but it can be converted into its active form, called plasmin, through a process known as fibrinolysis.<br>Fibrinolysis is the body's natural mechanism to dissolve blood clots.
