CAS:5-Methyl-1,3-oxazole-4-carboxamide is a chiral, stereoselective, synthetic compound. It is a congener of benzofuranone and macrocyclic cinnamyl. This compound has been shown to be efficient in the cyclodehydration of diazoketones. The reaction yields high yields of 5-methyl-1,3-oxazole-4-carboxylic acid with good stereoselectivity. 5-Methyl-1,3-oxazole-4 carboxamide can also be used as a metal carbene for the synthesis of substituted benzo[d]isothiazoles.
