<p>The SARS-CoV2 is a novel coronavirus identified as the cause of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic that began in Wuhan, China in 2019. SARS-CoV-2 can cause severe diseases such as pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), sepsis, septic shock or multiple organ failure, particularly among the elderly and immunocompromised patients. SARS-CoV-2 virus particles are round, elliptic and often pleomorphic in shape and a diameter of approximately 60-140 nm. The SARS-CoV2 genome encodes four essential structural proteins including the spike (S) glycoprotein, nucleocapsid (N) protein, membrane (M) protein, and the envelope (E) protein, and also several accessory proteins.</p>

Diminished sGC function contributes to several conditions, including cardiovascular diseases. sGC-induced cGMP increase ultimately affects vascular relaxation, inhibition of platelet aggregation, and altered neurotransmission._x000D_<br>_x000D_<br>sGC GUCY1A2 is upregulated in several cancers and promotes tumorigenesis. GUCY1A2 regulation is particularly dysregulated in cervical, prostate, and gastric cancer. The expression of GUCY1A2 is being proposed as a prognostic indicator for the outcome of gastric cancer and prostate cancer.</p>
