The chromatographic profile of Dnp-Pro-Gln-Gly on a Zorbax 300SBX column shows two peaks, with retention times of 8.2 minutes and 9.4 minutes. In tissue culture experiments, Dnp-Pro-Gln-Gly was found to enhance the activity of matrix metalloproteinases and collagenase. The optimum pH for Dnp-Pro-Gln-Gly is 5.5, which is near the pH optimum for most mammalian tissues and organs.
