Descripción:The somatostatin antagonist BIM 23627 selectively bound with high affinity to the human somatostatin receptor subtype 2 (hsst2), but was completely inactive in stimulating intracellular calcium mobilization. The IC₅₀ values of BIM 23627 to the five human somatostatin receptor subtypes were 2757 nM (hsst1), 6.4 nM (hsst2), 44 nM (hsst3), 423 nM (hsst4), and 86.5 nM (hsst5).
