Descripción:Barium carbonate has been used as brine purification chemical in the chloro-alkali industry and as an ingredient in rat poisons and enamels. Barium carbonate is used in photographic paper manufacturing. The chemical is used to produce the barium sulphate which gives the photographic paper its flat white appearance. Practiced in the manufacture of barium ferrites and also in the manufacture of television picture tubes. Barium carbonate is an additive in oil-well drilling muds. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand.
