Iron nickel oxide is used as an adsorbent to remove hexavalent chromium ions present in the waste water by co-sedimentation method. It is also employed as an additive in membrane (i.e. polyvinylchloride/styrene-butadiene-rubber blend heterogeneous cation exchange membrane) fabrication, thereby increasing the permeability for bivalent ions compared to the monovalent type. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
