The Vitronectin antibody is a monoclonal antibody that specifically targets the growth factor Vitronectin. It has been shown to inhibit the activation of endothelial growth factor and protease activity. This antibody binds to specific target molecules on the surface of cells, preventing their interaction with other proteins and inhibiting their function. In addition, it has cytotoxic effects on certain cancer cells and can induce apoptosis, or programmed cell death. The Vitronectin antibody has also been found to bind to alpha-fetoprotein and necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand, further highlighting its potential therapeutic applications in cancer treatment.
