The 6-Fluoro-3-indoxyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside is an effective antituberculosis drug from the rifamycin class. It is known for its potent bactericidal activity against tuberculosis infection. This active compound works by inhibiting bacterial growth through binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, preventing transcription and replication.
