Descripción:HG1 toxin is a peptide that is found in the venom of the scorpion Heterometrus fulvipes. It is a member of the short-chain scorpion toxins, which are composed of a single chain of amino acids. This protein has been shown to bind to potassium channels and inhibit their function, leading to paralysis of the prey's nervous system. HG1 toxin has been shown to be able to activate or inhibit ion channels and other receptors. It can also bind to ligands such as peptides or antibodies and affect cellular activity. HG1 toxin is produced by recombinant DNA technology and purified by HPLC for use in biochemical research and pharmacological studies.
