• Descripción: Insulin-like 4 (INSL4) is a growth factor that promotes the proliferation and differentiation of primary cells, including decidual cells. It has been shown to enhance the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP), an enzyme that breaks down extracellular matrix proteins. INSL4 also reduces the production of IGFBP-2, a protein that inhibits insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1). INSL4 has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation in transfection experiments and clinical data. It has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on cancer cells expressing insulin-like growth factor type 3 receptor.
