Alloaureothin is a nitro-homologous compound with chemical diversity. It has been shown to have anti-cancer, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Alloaureothin inhibits the growth of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA and RNA. This compound also has an inhibitory effect on cancer cells through its ability to activate autophagy in tumor cells. Alloaureothin can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent or as an antimicrobial agent for the treatment of bacterial infections.
