Descripción

Alvespimycin hydrochloride is a chemical inhibitor that binds to the ATP-binding site of Hsp90, an enzyme involved in protein synthesis. Alvespimycin hydrochloride inhibits the activity of Hsp90 by binding to the ATP-binding site and preventing ATP from binding. This inhibition prevents the release of other proteins that are needed for protein synthesis, leading to cell death. Alvespimycin hydrochloride has been shown to have anti-cancer properties in vitro assays and is being investigated for its potential use in cancer treatment.
