Descripción

4-(Dimethylamino)-3'-methylazobenzene is a reactive compound that has been shown to cause liver lesions in experimental animals. It is also known as an x-ray contrast agent as it can be used for the detection of anatomical structures, such as blood vessels or tumors, by use of X-rays. 4-(Dimethylamino)-3'-methylazobenzene has been shown to interfere with physiological functions and biological properties, including serum prolactin levels and liver tissue. This compound has also been shown to react with hepatic tissues, causing cell nuclei changes in liver cells.
