2,6-Dibromo-1,5-naphthalenediol is a compound that has the same molecular formula as naphthalene but with an extra bromine atom attached to one of the carbons. It can be used as an optical solvent or in photovoltaic devices. 2,6-Dibromo-1,5-naphthalenediol has been shown to show good noncovalent binding with amines and mandelic acid.
