Descripción

2-Methoxy-3-nitroaniline is a compound used in the production of dyes and pharmaceuticals. It is a colorless liquid that has a sweet, amine odor. 2-Methoxy-3-nitroaniline has been shown to exist as two isomers: cis and trans. The cis isomer has a magnetic moment of 0.8 μB, while the trans isomer has a magnetic moment of 1.0 μB. The two isomers were also found to have different gas chromatographic retention times and mass spectroscopy fragmentation patterns.
2-Methoxy-3-nitroaniline's magnetic resonance spectrum showed peaks at δ=14.00, 13.90, 13.60, 13.30, 12.50 ppm with corresponding J values of 14 Hz, 16 Hz, 18 Hz, 20 Hz and 10 Hz respectively for the cis isomer and peaks at δ=14
