Descripción

Menthyl acetate is an organic compound that is used primarily as a flavorant in the food industry. It is extracted from plants using subcritical water extraction, which produces a product that contains hydrogen bonds. Menthyl acetate has been shown to have anti-infective properties and can be used for the treatment of human pathogens. The use of menthyl acetate may also help to lower cholesterol levels, as it inhibits the activity of acetylcholinesterase enzymes. Menthyl acetate has been shown to have carcinogenic potential in animals, but this has not been demonstrated in humans.
