• Descripción: N,N-Dibenzylaniline is a light-sensitive compound that has been used in the preparation of amines and other organic compounds. It is reactive with proton because it has a conjugated system of double bonds. N,N-Dibenzylaniline reacts rapidly with water to produce dibenzylideneamine and hydrogen gas. The reaction rate depends on the concentration of reactants and the temperature. The kinetic data for this reaction showed that intramolecular hydrogen bonding was not significant. Hydroxyl groups are found on the benzene ring, whereas ester compounds have an ester group. The optical properties of N,N-Dibenzylaniline are dependent on its electronic state; when it is in the singlet state, it absorbs strongly at 280 nm and emits blue light at 360 nm in solution. When it is in the triplet state, it absorbs strongly at 300 nm and emits green light at 500 nm
