Descripción

Hexahydro-1,3,5-triphenyl-1,3,5-triazine is an organic solvent that is used in the manufacture of polyvinyl and metal surface coatings. It can be prepared by condensation of hexamethylenetetramine with sodium carbonate and polyvinyl chloride. Hexahydro-1,3,5-triphenyl-1,3,5-triazine reacts with metals to form a protective coating. This reaction product is also useful as a solid catalyst in chemical reactions. Hexahydro-1,3,5-triphenyl-1,3,5-triazine is used as a chemical intermediate for the production of fatty acids.
