Descripción:4-Acetamidobenzenesulfonamide is a drug that inhibits the activity of several enzymes and is used in wastewater treatment. It has been shown to have a beneficial effect on metabolic disorders, such as insulin resistance, obesity, and type 2 diabetes. 4-Acetamidobenzenesulfonamide also regulates transcriptional activity by inhibiting the interaction between DNA and RNA polymerases. This drug has been shown to be active in treating autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus and Crohn's disease. It also aids in HIV infection by acting as an inhibitor of toll-like receptor signalling pathways. The drug binds to hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions with water molecules to form a hydrophobic layer on the surface of cells in order to reduce water permeability.
