Descripción:Benzyl chloroacetate is a chemical compound that inhibits the activity of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of this enzyme with a long duration of action in a model system. Benzyl chloroacetate is used as an antimicrobial agent and has been shown to inhibit microbial growth by inhibiting the synthesis of cell wall components, such as β-amino acids. It also inhibits heparin-induced thrombocytopenia by irreversibly inhibiting the enzyme acetylcholinesterase.
