Información del producto
Benzo[g]quinoxaline is a potential anticancer agent that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by binding to nitrogen atoms. It is also used to treat infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis and AIDS. Benzo[g]quinoxaline binds to picolinic acid, which has been shown to have a profile similar to that of benzo[g]quinoxaline, forming an imine nitrogen in the process. This imine nitrogen can form a covalent bond with lysine residues on proteins. The benzoquinoxaline moiety is a functional group that has been shown to be ancillary in some cases, but it can be opportunistic in other cases. When benzo[g]quinoxaline is used as a functional group, it can react with amines or hydroxyl groups on proteins or nucleic acids. This reaction will produce a herringbone structure.
