Descripción

Piperonyl Acetate is an insecticide that belongs to the class of pentenoic acid. It is a colorless liquid with a faint, sweet odor. Piperonyl Acetate is used for killing mites and insects that destroy stored grains and other products. The chemical has been shown to be effective against pests such as the housefly, cockroach, and the grain weevil. It also has pesticidal activity against several species of insects, including the Colorado potato beetle, Mexican bean beetle, and rice water weevil. Piperonyl Acetate is used in combination with methyl anthranilate or piperonal as synergists that increase its effectiveness.
