Descripción:Alpha-truxillin is a potent inhibitor of chitin kinase, which is involved in the growth and proliferation of cancer cells. It has been found to have anticancer properties and can induce apoptosis in tumor cells. Alpha-truxillin is an analog of heparin, a naturally occurring anticoagulant. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of human cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. This compound also inhibits the activity of chitinase, an enzyme that breaks down chitin, a major component of fungal cell walls. Alpha-truxillin has been isolated from Chinese urine and may have potential as a therapeutic agent for cancer treatment.
