Pantetheine-d4 is a fluorescent probe that can be used to measure the activity of enzymes that synthesize pantetheine, such as pyrazinoic acid synthetase. Pantetheine-d4 has been used to investigate the role of pantetheine in human serum and bowel disease. It has also been used as a model system for studying the binding of inhibitors to enzymes.
