Descripción:18-Pentatriacontanone is a dibenzopentacontane that has been used as an ingredient in detergent compositions. The light emission is due to the nitrogen atoms present in the molecule. The synthesis methods for 18-pentatriacontanone are varied, but it can be prepared by reacting an organic compound containing at least one fatty acid with an amine or ammonia gas. The reaction mechanism for this process involves chloromethylation of the substrate followed by elimination of chlorine from the product. This reaction proceeds via a free radical mechanism with particle formation.
