Descripción:1,5-Dimethylhexylamine (1,5-DMHA) is a drug that is used as an analog for pentobarbital sodium. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in skin cells and can be used for the treatment of bowel disease. 1,5-DMHA has been found to inhibit the growth of Candida glabrata and other fungal species. This compound also prevents the initiation of inflammatory responses by suppressing the production of cytokines or chemokines in skin cells. 1,5-DMHA has not been evaluated in clinical trials because it is not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory agency.
