• Descripción: 3',4',5-Trichlorosalicylanilide is a gel chromatographic amide that has potent inhibition against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex. It is also effective against the radiation-resistant strains of these bacteria. 3',4',5-Trichlorosalicylanilide inhibits the synthesis of mycolic acids, which are important for the structural integrity of mycobacteria, by inhibiting the enzyme enoyl reductase. This compound is not active against inorganic particles and has been shown to have a cosmetically beneficial effect on skin. 3',4',5-Trichlorosalicylanilide may cause allergic reactions in some people.
