3,7,11,15-Tetramethylhexadecan-1-ol is a chemical compound that is bound to a molecule of phytanic acid. This chemical compound has been shown to be an intermediate for the production of methyl ketones. 3,7,11,15-Tetramethylhexadecan-1-ol is also found in rat liver microsomes and has been shown to act as an inhibitor of carbohydrate chemistry. The optimum pH for this compound is 7. The chemical composition of this compound includes one particle and one fatty acid.
