Descripción:9,9'-Bifluorenylidene (BF) is a stilbene derivative that has been shown to have a high affinity for dyes and aromatic hydrocarbons. It is used in the manufacture of pigments, fluorescent materials and dyes, as well as other organic compounds. BF is also an important precursor in the preparation of polyfluorenes. BF has been shown to be a good electron donor for chain reactions, light emission and transfer reactions. This compound has a skeleton with two benzene rings fused together at one side and three phenyl groups on the other side. The elimination rate of BF can be determined by kinetic measurements or by measuring its viscosity in a hydrochloric acid solution.
