Descripción:Thioglycine is a naturally occurring amino acid that binds to G-protein coupled receptors. It has been shown to be useful in the treatment of metabolic disorders and chronic bronchitis. Thioglycine has an antimicrobial effect, inhibiting the growth of bacteria by binding to iron and copper ions, which are required for bacterial metabolism. Thioglycine also binds to proteins in the cell wall, causing the cell wall to rupture, leading to cell death. This compound has been shown to have a number of other pharmacological effects including: anti-inflammatory activities, modulation of energy metabolism, and inhibition of chronic bronchitis.
