Descripción

Diethyltin dichloride is a viscosity-increasing agent. It is used in anticancer therapy to increase the viscosity of cancer cells, which makes them more susceptible to chemotherapy. Diethyltin dichloride also has antitumour activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit ATP levels and cell division by binding to chloride ions in the cell membrane. It also prevents the formation of dextran sulfate and hydrogenated DTT through metathesis reactions, as well as reducing disulfide bonds in proteins.
