Descripción:
1,3-Dimethyl-1H-indole is a reactive compound that can be synthesized by the enantioselective method. It is formed by the reaction of dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate with terminal alkynes in the presence of acid catalysts. The molecular orbitals of 1,3-dimethyl-1H-indole are highly polarized and it reacts more easily than other indoles with azides and aldehydes. This reactivity provides a way to synthesize vinyl ethers from 1,3-dimethyl-1H-indole with transfer or experimentally.
