Descripción:3-epi-Ursolic Acid is a naturally occurring molecule found in plants. 3-epi-Ursolic Acid has been shown to have antimycobacterial activity and inhibit the growth of cancer cells. The mechanism of action is not well understood, but it may be due to the hydroxyl group on the ring. It has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation by blocking the linker that attaches to proteins and inhibits their function. The linker is called pomolic acid. The anticancer activity of 3-epi-Ursolic Acid was demonstrated using mcf-7 cells and protocatechuic acid. It has also been shown to be a diagnostic agent for cancer.
