Descripción:Diisopropylbenzene (DIB) is a thermodynamic data for benzene that is used as a catalyst in hydrogenation reactions. The reaction solution of DIB and hydrogen fluoride produces cumene, methyl ethyl ketone, and 1,2-dichloroethane. DIB has been shown to have clinical relevance in the treatment of congestive heart failure. It acts by inhibiting the reuptake of fatty acid and hydroxyl group in the cell membrane, which increases blood flow to the heart and reduces congestion. This drug also has an antiarrhythmic effect by blocking cation channels.
