Descripción:Sodium Camptothecin is a cytotoxic drug that inhibits the protein synthesis of cells by binding to the DNA template. It has been shown to be effective against mouse tumor cells, although it also has toxic effects on healthy cells. Sodium Camptothecin is able to bind to polymorphic hydroxyl groups and is an analog of camptothecin. It was also found to have potent antitumor activity in leukemic mice. The physiological effects of sodium camptothecin are unclear, but it appears to inhibit carboxylate metabolism in human serum.
