Descripción:Hydroxypropyl Acrylate is a polymer that is soluble in organic solvents. It is a colorless liquid that can be either a monomer or a copolymer, depending on the ratio of 2-Hydroxypropyl and 2-Hydroxy-1-methylethyl Acrylate. The polymerization process takes place under pressure and at elevated temperatures. The polymerization kinetics are influenced by the concentration of MEHQ, which stabilizes the solution and increases the temperature range for polymerization. Hydroxypropyl Acrylate has been used as an additive in paints to improve their flexibility, hardness, and resistance to water.
