Minaprine is a drug that is used to improve the symptoms of bowel disease and autoimmune diseases. It belongs to the group of 5-HT2 receptor antagonists and has been shown to have neuronal death effects in rats. Minaprine also inhibits locomotor activity, cardiac effects, and energy metabolism. This drug has been shown to reduce serum prolactin levels in humans and has been studied for use in treating radiation-induced vomiting.
