Clindamycin B hydrochloride is a semi-synthetic antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S subunit of ribosomes. The compound is produced by chemical modification of clindamycin hydrochloride, which is extracted from Streptomyces lincolnensis. This product has been used in the treatment of a wide variety of infections, including those caused by Escherichia coli and Clostridium difficile. Clindamycin B hydrochloride has shown good performance in liquid chromatography methods with high yield, linearity, and sensitivity. It also has low impurities and good batch-to-batch consistency.
