Ochnaflavone is a plant-derived natural product that has been reported to have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities. It belongs to the class of secretory phospholipase A2 (sPLA2) inhibitors, which are used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Ochnaflavone has significant cytotoxicity against tumor cells and inhibits the activity of sPLA2. The molecule has also been shown to inhibit p21 protein kinase activity and MMP-9 activity in vitro. Ochnaflavone binds to fatty acids and hydrogen bonds with water molecules.
