5'-Amino-[1,1':3',1''-terphenyl]-2'-ol is an analog of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol that was synthesized as a probe for the detection of glutathione. This compound is electrochemically oxidized to δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol. The oxidation reaction is monitored by measuring the change in current at the electrode in response to changes in redox potential. 5'-Amino-[1,1':3',1''-terphenyl]-2'-ol undergoes pyrolysis and can be used as a probe for acetaminophen.
