Descripción:
CGP-37157 is a mitochondria-targeting compound that inhibits mitochondrial functions. It has been shown to inhibit calcium uptake and release into the cytosol, as well as inhibit ATP production. CGP-37157 also blocks the mitochondrial permeability transition pore, preventing cell death. This drug is currently being investigated for its use in treating neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
